Draughts Online ("we", "us") is a free, browser-based draughts game. This page sets out honestly what happens to your data when you use it, which is mercifully little.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts on this site, so we never ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. We run no advertising and no analytics, and we set no tracking cookies. Your games are played entirely inside your browser: your moves are not sent to us, and we cannot see them.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage to remember a few things between visits: a game in progress so you can resume it, your tally of wins and losses, and your chosen settings. This information is kept on your own device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing the site's data through your browser settings removes all of it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served through Cloudflare's network. As with practically any web host, serving a page involves standard technical logs, such as the requesting IP address and the page requested, which Cloudflare processes to keep the service secure and running. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare describes its own handling of such data in the Cloudflare privacy policy.

If any of this changes

Should we ever introduce features that change the picture above, for instance analytics or advertising, we will update this policy first and change the date at the top, so the page you are reading always reflects what the site actually does.
